Great to be with you, sir. Thanks for having me. Well, I just can't keep up. I mean, your new book Red Handed has just been released. The new American elites, how they get rich helping China win.

Well, Seb, I've always been interested in investigative journalism. I did went to graduate school and after graduate school, I did some consulting work with with NBC news.

And I started writing investigative books. Some of those were about the cold war, but increasingly, I looked at the corruption that was hurt helping, you know, I think undermine the representative government we have.

I broke stories on insider trading on the stock market by members of Congress. There was a segment on 60 minutes about that led to the passage of the stock act, which of course later on was gutted.

But I believe that the intersection of money and power in Washington DC, particularly foreign money, is one of the great unreported stories that undermines our national security and our national independence.

And at the government accountability institute, I put together a team of 20 people, 13 of which are researchers, where we follow the money intricately.

So the book that we're talking about today is based on more than a year's worth of research involving a team of researchers, some 13 people, and includes corporate records from China, legal documents, you name it.
