In 2016, episode of the science fiction series Black Mirror, a young woman named Lizzie

lived in a world where people read every interaction they have with another person.

Think of rating a restaurant on TripAdvisor, except in this scenario they are rating you.

In this dystopian scenario, Lizzie obsesses about improving her rating.

The average assess and does could make or break her future from the cost of her rent to

the quality of her health care.

Inevitably, this leads people to associate with those who have higher rating and this

associate with those who have a lower one.

Turns out that Lizzie isn't very good at navigating this system by the conclusion of

the episode.

Well, let's just say it doesn't end well for her.

Black Mirror is fiction, but the society is paying its becoming a reality in the people's

Republic of China.

You may have heard of it, it's called the social credit system.

By all indications, it's the future of that country.

If we are not careful, it may be our future here.

I'm enjoying this to your attention because I left China to get away from the old saying

I found it.
