I just want to start off by asking if you could tell us a little bit about your service,

your career, and why you decided to write this book right now.

Sure, I spent almost 30 years in the Air Force, mostly as a B2 pilot.

I did have the opportunity as a major to go and live in China, studied at Defense Language

Institute, Learning Mandarin, studied at Tongji University, mostly MBA courses that were

taught in Chinese and then traveled the country as part of the Olmsted Scholar Program.

And so, that occurred from 2001 to 2004, so 9-11 and beyond, so I was there during the

first or the second goal for.

And so when everybody went to the Middle East, I went to China and that ended up affecting

my career going forward.
