Good morning. Does anyone know what's happened to spring? I thought I was fairly certain.

It had sprung. But now it sort of disappeared. I said two degrees someone said it was today.

It's certainly cold. I took the decision not to wear a jumper, which I'm already regretting.

This is the important stuff that you tune in for on a Monday morning. I am well aware of that.

Goodness me, no. But if anyone is listening to that, I think they've cleared up now. I should have

checked really before coming on there. I'll get the hang of this one day, but I don't think you've got a 40-hour, a 50-hour queue in Dover anymore.

But my goodness me, what an absolute shambles. I've got a friend

who's kid came back. They got told they weren't going to get to Italy for their school trip,

their ski trip until Tuesday. So they gave up and turned around. And that was a fairly common

experience. Here's one picked up by the times today. Deputy head teacher from

Hereford left at 4pm on Friday. 41 excited teenagers heading to the French Alps. Two days later,

they're still en route. First night in an empty car park with no lavatory facilities on the outskirts

of Dover. Second night on an unscheduled detour through Belgium so their coach drivers could catch up on some rest.

Thomas, for a lorry driver who I think relocated after Brexit, warned us that this kind of stuff was going to happen.

He got in touch with me yesterday to explain that no one was commenting upon the 10-hour limit on drivers that was going to be shot to pieces like this,

even if you had two drivers on board.

The gridlock of getting through Dover, an absolute nightmare, 12 to 16 year olds from White Cross school,

just one of many who had to endure miserable cues to enter the European Union.

Listen, I don't want to alienate my core support, but I am going to continue to create a safe space for the repentant, a safe space for, well, compassion for the con.
