Right. There's only two states, New Jersey and Delaware, where you have to be 18 years old in order to get married.

There's a law in law because it's a religious thing?

No.

It doesn't have to be a religious thing.

All you have to do is have the consent of either a judge, in some states, consent of a parent, in some states.
