How does the Spirit confirm our adoption into God's family?

Let's go to verse 15.

Now, what's so beautiful and precious about verse 15 is that it clearly corrects a misunderstanding or maybe a miss feeling about verse 14.

It's so clear from verse 15 that Paul and God, through wants you to enjoy being led by the Holy Spirit.

So if you have in your mind right now something oppressive, something slavish, something fear-producing.

When you think of being led by the Spirit, verse 15 is offered to you as a gift now to get it out of your head.

All right?

Let's read it.

It's another because at the beginning of this verse,

explaining, grounding what he just said about the relationship between the spirit and sonship.

He says, for all who are, this is verse 14 again, for all who are led by the spirit of God, are the sons of God, for all who are, this is verse 14 again,

for all who are led by the spirit of God, are the sons of God,

for, let me explain.

You did not receive the spirit of slavery.

To fall back into fear.

You have received the spirit of adoption as sons, by which we cry, not, I'm afraid of my master, but rather, Abba, Father.
