The subject of my investigation is the torture of children by their own parents.

This hour will take you through four tragic stories.

The first one involves an influencer mom named Ruby Frankie,

who went from popular personality to child abuser.

Here's the story.

Once adored as a YouTube mom who preached tough love, Ruby Frankie's picture perfect family shattered in horror.

Behind the smiling thumbnails in tidy suburban scenes, her six children endured years of torment,

masked as discipline.

Prosecutors say Ruby and her business partner Jody Hildebrand, starved, isolated, and humiliated the kids, calling it therapy.

The nightmare came to light when one of Ruby's sons escaped a Utah home emaciated and desperate for help.

The shocking images of that child exposed the cruelty hidden behind the camera lens. Ruby now convicted of aggravated child abuse is facing years in prison. Once seen as a model mother, she became a chilling reminder of how influence and ideology can twist into something monstrous.

The children once props in a family brand, now survivors trying to reclaim their lives,

their voices and their childhoods stolen in the name of love.
