Summary
First, we go to the UK, where a study on behalf of Action for Children, asked kids what they are most
worried about. And, undoubtedly to the surprise of adults who don’t believe kids are aware of it, terrorism
came out nearly on top! Homelessness and poverty were the biggest worries for approximately 50% of kids
studied, and terrorism came a close second at 49%. Julie Bentley, the CEO of Action for Children, says,
“The country is sleepwalking into a crisis in childhood….” And so is the U.S.
Next, we go to Canada, where the Palestinian Youth Movement tried to put one over on a Toronto
church, by persuading them to host an event for the launch of the Ghassan Kanafani Resistance Arts
Scholarship. Though they told the church they don’t promote violence, in fact, Kanafani was the
spokesman for the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, who perpetrated the massacre of Lod
Airport (now called Ben Gurion) in Israel. Fortunately, a petition to the church stopped the PYM event
in the nick of time.
Finally, we go to Germany, where the first ISIS bride was convicted of contributing to terrorist activities.
Sabine S. converted to Islam and abandoned her two children to go to Syria, where she married an ISIS
fighter, ran propaganda blogs and more. Jennifer W., another ISIS bride, who is alleged to have tortured
a 5-year-old to death, is going on trial.
