Unfictional is KCRW's program of stories and documentaries, all part of KCRW's independent producer project, a

laboratory for radio producers, writers, and performers.

And today on the program, a documentary portrait of the conflicts in Northern Ireland,

from the perspective of children who grew up in the Ardoin area of North Belfast,

where there were 99 people killed from both sides of the fighting between

1969 and 1997.

Two-thirds of them had attended the Holy Cross primary schools, one for girls and one for boys.

On KCRW's unfictional, this is child of Ardoin.
