Rashid Rice, the Chiefs Receiver, who was involved in that cartoonish video game-style street racing incident that resulted in multiple injuries in March of 2024,

ultimately pleaded guilty to multiple charges.

He was suspended by the NFL for six games.

He was placed on five years of probation and was required to serve 30 days in jail whenever

he wanted to over that five years.

He could do a weekend at a time.

He could make it fit his schedule.

That was the arrangement that was reached last year.

Now, typically when you're put on probation, there are two

requirements that require real discipline, no alcohol, and you got to, as Stephen A. Smith would say,

stay off the weed. And apparently, Rashie Rice did not stay off the weed. He tested positive for THC.

And the consequence was serve all 30 days now.

Boom.

He's going to miss the rest of the offseason program.

He's going to miss the mandatory minicamp.

And he just had knee surgery last week because he had some lingering inflammation in the knee that was injured in week four of the 2024 season.

He can't rehab the knee for the next 30 days.

That's crazy.

They don't give you work release to go rehab your knee.

Right.

So this is ultimate unforced error.

And look, I'm assuming that he didn't have secondhand smoke at a concert or something like that.
