From the land of the free and the home of the chiefs, this is the

locked on chiefs podcast. It is another week. It's almost a holiday and thank you guys

for checking out the show. Really exciting one. I'm Ryan from RGR football as well as rogue analytics and I'm going to be talking with Q Myers, the host of the lockdown raiders here in a behind enemy line series. We're going to get to that in the second segment, but today's

top story is really that this, this is it. This is where the rubber meets the road for the

Kansas City Chiefs. It is their opportunity to not only lay claim to the AFC West by winning this game against

their closest competition in this league, in this division this year, as well as a rival that goes back a long way.

But it's also an opportunity to put the rest of the NFL on notice.

That yes, Lamar's playing great.

And yes, the Patriots are still very consistent at what they do in getting wins, however they have to get wins.

But Pat Mahomes is not to be underestimated. He is not to be forgotten.

He still should be in this MVP race.

And that's always so much opinion that goes into talking heads

around the country.

I don't want to get too far into that, but it is a significant

factor that all of a sudden he's been kind of forgotten. He did have the worst statistical

game of his career down in Mexico City against those chargers and this is also an opportunity for him to bounce back in that fashion

to take the division by the throat and control it and we have to see him do that.

We have to see the defense return to stopping the run because that's what the raiders do well. We're going to talk about that in depth here coming up. But the big thing is, this is where this team who does play a fair amount of rookie snaps who does have a lot of injury

history this season who does have new guys in new positions and quite frankly I

don't think they're done with that in terms of the

rotation on the offensive line possibly on the defensive line and who's going to be

playing what snaps when Kendall four is able to practice again and a couple of
