Welcome back into another edition of the chief's training camp report on the Arrowhead pride

podcast network. I am Steve Inserta. Can't say chiefs took the practice field once again

on Tuesday in St. Joseph, Missouri. So let me welcome in the leader of Arrowhead pride and Dave

Matthews biggest fan Pete Sweeney Sweeney. What's going on? Hey, how's it going? Yes,

uh, when you start to hear all these injuries, old Dave might help ease some of that. Yeah, so let's get

right into it. Uh, there's a reason to dance around about it. It's not the worst thing in the world,

but I feel like chiefs fans are panicking a little bit today as, you know, Travis Kelsey mentioned

it yesterday, then we get the report from Adam Shafter and the optimism around Kaderius Tony has

been totally deflated as any read confirmed on Tuesday that Kaderius Tony did have a procedure

on his knee to clean up some cartilage and he's going to miss some time. They're still hopeful

that he will be ready for week one, but I think it's perfectly reasonable to question whether or

not that's actually going to be the case speed. Yeah, it seems to me like the chiefs are trying to

be as optimistic as possible right now and why wouldn't you? There's so much time between now and

the regular season, anything can happen as far as three happen and stuff goes, but just based

upon my experience of doing this, I've been doing this a while now whenever they use the words

cartilage and meniscus and it's a negative tone, uh, that is never really a good thing for

availability. The problem right now, but I just described this on six cents for its radio, is that

the status of Tony is not eligible for the physically unable to perform less and that's key because

what does that mean? We're talking about 53 man roster. He needs to make the 53 man roster in order

to put him on the temporary IR. Anyone that goes on the IR right now during training camp is

Nell's looking higher here. So I know that there are a lot of folks that are saying, well,

you know, the benefit is, well, you can just give that spot to to Justin Ross. While you could,
