What an amazing weekend, capped off by a Sunday night football special of the Kansas

City Chiefs just destroying the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, which not many of us saw coming,

but clearly this was the Super Bowl grudge match.

And the trash talking coming out of Tampa last week by the defensive linemen in Tampa about the field day they were about to have against the Kansas City Chiefs did not play out.

The Chief's offensive line spectacular in this game.

And the Chiefs just roll from the very beginning. Tampa with the fumble on the opening kickoff. The Chiefs jump right on that with a 7-0 lead, and they run away with this one. 41 points scored by the Chiefs, just a

spectacular performance. Patrick Mahomes winds up 23 out of 37, 249 yards, three touchdowns.

He had the one sloppy pick at the end, not sure what he were doing there.

But a big difference in this game for the Chiefs was simply throwing the kitchen sink at Tampa Bay's defense.

Patrick Mahomes had four carries for 34 yards.

One of those, the first design play that I recall this year, where it was an easy run for him,

a beautifully designed called run. I love that. I also loved the fake that he had on the goal line where

he's motioning to Kelsey, like you've got to move and he's got both his hands going, and they're calling

signals in Noah Gray, runs right under center. They snap it to him. They score the touchdown while Tampa's kind of laying back thinking, okay, Mahomes is doing a bunch of funky stuff at the line of scrimmage. This was the kitchen sink game. The chiefs threw everything they had at Tampa. This clearly was a statement maker. It was important internally, and Patrick Mahomes was asked about that

after the game. They said, how important was it for you to beat Tampa after losing them to the

Super Bowl? He said, look, this is just a regular season game. He said, what was important was

we get back to who and what we are. And they certainly were that. Everybody talking about the

Houdini move on the goal line where Mahomes scrambled, got out of the grasp, ran toward the goal line,
