First thought, three years, $54 million, $18 million a year, basically, $35 million guaranteed. not the contract I was expecting him to sign.

Not necessarily mine either I actually thought that there'd be a bigger discount given the

off the field activities. I think I said earlier

in the off season that when it happened it probably around 16-ish, but pretty lack-luster

in terms of, think before all the off-field issues he was probably

looking at topping the wide receiver charts and looking at that 20 million

per annum. Yeah and that's exactly where I'm coming from I wasn't expecting 16 I was expecting

lower than 20 and they definitely got that the interesting thing that we don't know

right now and this will come out in the

next couple of days maybe next week is how his contract is structured to

protect the team and him. It does sound like 35 million is guaranteed.

I'm not exactly sure how that works because it sounds like it'd be very hard for the team to

protect themselves.

The 35 million is guaranteed at that point but hopefully

there is something in there just in case there is another issue down the road.

Yeah I have to think that the devil's in the details of the language of that guarantee and from what we've heard from the beat reporters and Terres

Paylor is that they're built in on both sides recognize some protections for themselves.

So that tells me possible escalators for the player and the agent and possible forfeiture of guarantees should anything else happen and I think that's probably

an agreeable arrangement on both sides.
