locked on chiefs podcast. Welcome back to lockdown chiefs. It's a brand new week and

the chiefs have moved one step closer anyway to actually playing games that mean something.

A lot of little bits and pieces to this preseason week number three game and we're going to go

over them.

I'm here with Chris Clark from Chiefs Digest. I'm Ryan Tracy from

RGR football and today's top story is that Damian Williams has solidly

taken not been given but taken the starting spot for the running backs and the fallout that ensues should be very interesting.

What was your impression of not only the big play from Williams, but his night as a whole?

I thought it played really well. I mean his bursts coming out of that hole when he caught the ball was fantastic.

It showed the long speed that you're hoping that he had.

He did get a good block that maybe helps spring him as well but having him having the ability to do what he did and

show that he has that kind of speed and that kind of ability to take the ball the distance from that kind of distance.

That's a great time for this offense.

It's just another weapon that Kin City has.

You knew he was going to be a weapon at least in the short passing game, but now it looks

like he can even be one in the long passing game.

Yeah, and I'm impressed.

I know he has long speed, but that even impressed me too.

To be able to undercut kind of an over pursuing safety and get back underneath it, that was great. Outran everybody else really displayed

the difference between him and the other backs in this particular back field. I also like the fact

that it's just like you said a matchup thing this is very similar
