Summary

About 5 games in Patrick Mahomes first year as starter, I devoted an entire radio show to the topic that the Chiefs will become the most hated team in the NFL.  We've seen it coming and now it's true.  The reaction nationally to the Chiefs toddler tantrum party Sunday is almost universal and fans everywhere are turning on their tv's to root for whoever is playing the Chiefs.     And how in the world did Chiefs fans get so insufferable so quickly?  Blaming the refs is the lowest road to travel and it's now a weekly ritual in KC.  Hey, winning teams' fan bases get spoiled but I was hoping we would be a little more aware of how hard it is to win in this league.  But no.  Anything short of a 20-0 season seems unacceptable.     Meanwhile, the Dolphins lose and the rest of the AFC puts absolutely no fear in anyone.  It may be the year that any playoff team in the AFC could wind up in the Super Bowl but I can promise you not a single team in this thing will be heavily favored.    The Supreme Court will consider whether Trump has immunity from prosecution from his speech on J6 where he asked thousands of supporters to peacefully protest.  An actress on SNL turns down a skit, the Royals shop for pitching and Covid jabs are WAY down, especially in KC.

I was really trying very hard to not lead the podcast with sports on this Tuesday,

0:20.3

and certainly not the Chiefs, but the reaction

0:22.1

to the last couple losses has been so overwhelming in our community. I don't know how I can

0:27.9

possibly avoid this. There's obviously good news on a lot of different fronts. The Dolphins

0:32.1

lose on Monday night. The Chiefs still have, I believe, a reasonable, if they play well and win their games,

0:38.2

a reasonable path to either being the one seed or playing at home all the way through the playoffs.

0:45.3

We don't talk about that. Well, what if you become the two seed? And then Baltimore

0:48.2

loses at home in the playoffs. Well, you become basically the one seed. We've seen the chiefs do that

0:53.0

before. So the reaction to all this stuff, the overreaction to all this stuff, well, you become basically the one seed. We've seen the chiefs do that before.

0:59.5

So the reaction to all this stuff, the overreaction to all this stuff has been thinking a couple of thoughts.

1:05.3

And I just, we're going to get to some important issues, the Supreme Court, some things going on in news. It's all coming your way. But I can't get this stuff out of my head. In fact, I woke up a couple

1:10.5

of times in the middle of the night thinking about this.

1:12.1

And I'm usually not that careful or guarded with my words.

1:17.2

But in this case, we're talking about sports fans who can get easily offended by hearing something that they don't like about themselves.

1:25.1

Because this is really now more, you know, we've got Andy Reid saying

1:28.9

basically he was sorry for the comments he gave. Patrick Boholm says he regrets what he did at

1:34.4

the end of that game, the reaction that he had on Sunday and really regrets what he did with

1:38.4

Josh Allen after the game using the F-bomb twice, telling Josh Allen what a terrible call it was.

1:43.5

And in telling Carrington Harrison on 610 sports radio on Monday, look, Josh Allen had
