locked on chiefs podcast. Welcome back to locked on chiefs. I'm Ryan, the

founder of Rogue Analytics and your host over at our g. football as well as the guy that's leading

the news segment today for Lockdown Chiefs we have a great show coming up for you

Chris will join me here in a couple of minutes and we will go through some of the

news as the Chiefs start to make the transition from what has been an exploration of their roster to what they have to do in starting to get rolling for this season.

A lot has happened and they are making progress. They are actually pretty healthy as they get ready to make that switchover. Cutdowns are coming on September 5th. So they have just 5, 6 days here to get that all straightened out.

We're still waiting to hear the specifics about what that's going to look like in terms of an overall roster.

We believe there's going to be a 16 man practice

squad that will play a big part in that as well and as they get ready to roll into

that decision-making process they got a couple of guys back and I think that's pretty into that

decision making process. They got a couple of guys back and I think that's pretty significant.

In what they have to do to prepare for week one is a little bit different,

but Dion Yielder got back out on the practice field today.

That is something that we've been waiting for really all camp, a guy that had a decent game against the

Indianapolis Colts made a couple of nice catches and we really thought that he might be in a

position to make some progress onto this roster here in 2020 but has been out all of

camp and this is this is a last-ditch effort to get a couple of practices in.

I don't know what it means for his future.

That's one of the decision groups.

It's going to be very, very interesting to see how it falls out not only for what they do week one versus going to the practice squad, but also what they do after that and how they're going to attack the season, and if Dion may be somebody that they feel they can get to the practice

squad. I really like his upside still and I think they have Ricky Seals Jones
