From the land of the free and the home of the chiefs, this is the

locked on chiefs podcast. And welcome back to another episode of locked on chiefs

and it is pre-season game number two on Saturday it is just about that time

football season is inching closer but the story of today is training camp is now

over.

Yeah, they have, you know, since we left town, I think they really timed it after we were gone.

Everybody put on Hawaiian shirts, closed up, camp said thank you to the military and

get daddled out of town. Yeah that's good that it's done. Now you get back to

your normal routine of things you start really getting ready for the regular season at this

point they head to Pittsburgh I guess I'm guessing that they're going to be

traveling on Friday since their game is on Saturday so you would expect that

they will be headed that direction on Friday.

Yeah, real quick, you know, try to break camp, everybody get back down to town,

you know, get organized, see your family for a quick couple of minutes and get back, you know get organized see your family for a quick couple of minutes and get packed you know

It's gonna be an interesting game. We're gonna talk about match-ups what to watch etceter etc for both sides of the ball here coming up in the later segments but just that process and what we saw and

from everything that we heard while we were there was that Tuesday was the hottest day of

practice in a couple of years in in total and I don't know what the heat index was it felt like you know 120 to me but it was really only like 89 degrees I think

You're just not used to humidity. I understand.

Well, but that's the thing is it wasn't that hot. It was it was hot, but it wasn't

terrible. It was that humidity and it got to the players, you know, guys were throwing up, guys were getting

IVs, there was all kinds of stuff going on.

And then we saw cool down on Wednesday, just as we were kind of wrapping up our trip.
