After the Chiefs, 42 to 34 victory over the Houston Texans and this was a pretty good team.

We knew the Texans would be pretty good going into this game, but a lot happened.

There's a lot to talk about what you didn't really expect was to see the early injuries

to J.J. Watt and Whitney Merciless, two very good players for the Texans, kind of a jarring start to this game with the initial injury to Stephen Terrell.

A couple times you held your breath. We of course need to get to the Chris Conley injury, but let's get to the good stuff first and then we'll work our way to the bad news.

There's a lot to be happy about in this game. The fact that the

Texas scored 34 points isn't the best, but I think the biggest thing that you

have to pay attention to right now is the fact that

Alex Smith is playing the best football maybe of his 12-year career. And you go to his story and you realize back in 2012,

here's a guy that's in San Francisco again that year playing better than he probably ever had.
