What's going on?

What's going on everyone? Welcome back to the Epic Gardening Podcast. We have the

Epic repeat guest Anne of Real Hens of O.C. She's an urban homesteader. She is a chicken owner and she is the author of the

Beginners Guide to Raising Chickens and most importantly she is a friend we met a long time ago. I think it was on

Instagram right and yeah I believe so. Yeah so we met on

Instagram but then we really quickly you know kind of connected over a bunch of

different things including the Apocalypse Grow challenge which you straight up dominated last year.

You guys did a really good job at that you know and it was it was fun to come up and

have that apocalypse potluck with you and some other friends of ours on garden

Instagram and so yeah it's great to have you back.

Thank you for having me and yeah I don't think we could have done the challenge had you

not even you know mentioned it and it was such a great idea for us to get

involved and it made it easy because we already had the chickens so we are extremely

fortunate to have that already to give us a head start.

Yeah, yeah, that was something that I had to scavenge up and I even got two dozen chickens

from you, or sorry eggs from you in exchange for some grunion I believe.

But yeah, it was a really fun thing and I guess that

brings us to today's episode which should be you know the massive increase of gardening

in 2020 as a result of the pandemic in what seems to be all things related to food and of course that goes into chickens and so we were talking and you were saying

You know it's just hard to even get into the the hobby right now because it's hard to even buy chickens, right?
