I hope you all okay amongst all this madness that's happening around us again at the moment. Welcome to Sunsets with me, Nick Chicanne. It's a little oasis of calm in your week where you're invited into my studio and we listen to some beautiful emotive electronic music. Now this week has been some very sad news that my friend Jose Padilla

lost his short battle with cancer at home in Ibiza. Jose was obviously most famous to being

the resident DJ at Café Del Mar in Ibiza, sometimes playing 10-hour sets that stretched through

into the day and night.

And he was one of the key supporters of a certain record called Offshore, which was my really first big record.

And I remember him supporting that.

And I did some remixes for him a long, long time ago.

But, you know, kind of in fact with Jose, this sunset show probably wouldn't exist. It's, you know, it's a very similar vibe.

You know, we play beautiful music, you go a little bit more up-tempo,

and then off you go into the Ibitha night and get up to all sorts of crazy stuff.

But yeah, it's very sad um you know

Jose was instrumental in creating the whole chill out and balleric sound that became so famous over the
