I think it kind of came to light last week that it might be a possibility that the Hawks would lose him for nothing. He committed to a college.

Looks like he's going to Denver, according to Cab Robinson.

So the Hawks trade him for a third round pick in the 2027 draft to Tampa.

Now Tampa holds his rights until June 1st, 2028 to see if they can get something done with Jack Purden.

But it wasn't going to happen here.

They just have too many guys blocking his path.

So good to get something instead of nothing.
