And it almost happened.

And if it happened, if Chester Arthur was able to get the Senate seat

from New York, we'd probably never be speaking of him again, even on my podcast. Because although

Chester Arthur is a pretty obscure president, he's at least a president.

And had he obtained the Senate seat from New York,

there probably would have been no reason to run for anything else.
