Summary

Join GMs William Bibbiani (Critically Acclaimed Network) and Darren Mooney (Second Wind) as they rank the 7 best FILMS ever made about the game of CHESS!

NOTE:

This Draft was produced as part of a larger project that never ended up coming to fruition. Producer Ryan Verrill took the time to pain-stakingly remove all references to that project so that this Draft could finally be released to the public. As such, there are moments when it is apparent that something has been cut out. But do not fret! All picks, gameplay, and movie discussion remain fully intact. We are pleased to finally be able to present this Draft, and we hope you enjoy it!

Hello, everybody. Commissioner Clay here. A quick note before we begin the chess movies draft with William Bibiani and Darren Mooney.

0:11.2

This draft was originally conceived and recorded as a video draft that was going to be part of a larger project that never ended up coming to fruition.

0:25.2

So we decided now here, I mean nearly a year later, to put these things together and release

0:32.1

them to the regular screen draft's main feed and to the booster club feed because even though this

0:40.0

project never came together, we all agreed this episode was a lot of fun, really great

0:46.3

movies discussed and just a general good time.

0:51.4

So what that means is that as you are listening to this, or as you are watching it,

0:58.7

as you can do, if you go to www.com.com slash screen drafts, there will be moments where things

1:07.7

are pretty clearly cut out. Now, nothing is cut out in terms of the picks or the gameplay or the discussion of the movies.

1:14.5

Just whenever we make mention of this project that never came together, for legal reasons, we had to cut that out.

1:21.1

So thank you to Ryan Varel, who was producing this for us, for taking the time to go through and cut those things out so that we

1:29.0

would be able to release this episode out into the world. So enjoy the chess movies draft. The

1:39.2

things that are cut out will not be that distracting. Don't worry about it. Just wanted to make everybody aware that they're

1:46.3

not going crazy, that the file is not corrupted, that their podcast player did not skip. Things were

1:53.2

cut out, and that was so that you could enjoy this episode. And if you would like to watch the

2:00.2

video version of this draft, like I said, it is going

2:04.6

to be up in the booster club for all boosters to see www.com.

2:11.4

Thank you.

2:12.6

Okay, that's it.

2:15.6

Without any further ado, enjoy the show. Welcome to Screen Drafts.

2:56.7
