With Sayley, we're less pleased to have to talk about what was a frankly awful football match. It's Neil Ackington with Josh Williams. the humulative xG of the two sides combined is 1.02, 0.67 to Liverpool, no point 35 to Chelsea. There was 14 shots across the game. Six of them called the goalkeepers into action. I'm going to go on with the metrics, Josh. But these really were not two good football teams that faced one another at Amfield.

No, no, I think we saw that play out. I didn't enjoy it at all.

I was actually quite concerned with the left ground as well.

Sometimes I think it can be put down to certain little voids in the team or whatever.

I've been high on that all season, but in this one, Liverpool in just poorly coached at times we get on to that but yeah not a good

game at all not a good game at all whether it's avoiding the team is Liverpool have not got

the missing four of their attacking players it's worth sort of pointing that out and arguably

the similar with Chelsea well yeah and so Chelsea were saying they were missing the wide areas options and they were missing the

four that you know arguably the four that you most want if you were to rank

them in there allowing for the fact that Vita plays more as an attack in midfield

than a forward I think we saw that that was hard against Man United but against

man United it felt like they had more of a sense of how they're gonna to keep the ball how they're going to move it around against Chelsea you didn't really get any sense of that no against Man United I had a bit more sympathy because Liverpool could actually reach the final third and it felt to me like ever kind of deteriorated from the point of being unable to penetrate the box.

So you end up playing with it a bit too long,

then you end up forcing it, you lose the ball,

you get counter-attack, you're nice to the good at that sort of thing.

And you suffer from there.

But against Chelsea,

they didn't seem to be much of a plan

when it came to escaping your own defensive third.

I thought we suffered a lot with that, lots of players carrying the ball into blind alleys

and things, and it persisted throughout the entire match.
