We knew we'd have a lot to talk to you about because we're speaking from the Etihad Stadium where Manchester City,

looking to go top of the league again.

We're facing Chelsea who started the weekend in fourth place.

But now they end the weekend because of goal difference in sixth place.

City have achieved their objectives, but what a way to do it. We've got two ends of the tail here,

Gary, haven't we? Let's deal with Manchester City, first of all. How good were they?

I think, although they're outstanding, and I think the big thing for me was that the way Chelsea started in that first two or three minutes,

Manchester City almost responded to that. They almost came alive based on the fact that Chelsea pressed high.

They passed really quickly. they actually had a good chance

where Hazard broke down this side and it almost spiked them a little bit.

It almost made them sort of think raise the game and I saw them, we saw them against Liverpool

at Christmas and it was similar and it's almost like we're watching a team that need to be challenged for them to actually respond and get to their best.

And that's not unnatural, I think, when you're a team that dominate possession as much as they do.

And we've watched Manchester City games a lot over the last 18 months, over the last five years, but a lot over the last 18 months,

particularly under Pep Guardiola.

And I wouldn't say it's boring, because it's not boring.

You have to respect what he's doing, but you can come.

And you can actually just be sort of talking through games and watching 80% possession.

And it's too easy.

It's almost like you're sort of drifting through commentary.
