And this paragraph kind of jumped out of me.

You said the nationals are, in short, stuck in a mud, years in the making, stirred by

apathy and ownership, a prolonged drought and player development, and the now undeniable

sense that even the friendly neighborhood manager, who has seen far more hopeless

times than these, has grown so frustrated by his players' inconsistencies that he can no longer mask the feeling.

That's pretty well encapsulates what's happening

with this team that just dropped its ninth straight game last night.

Things are not good in Nationals land at this point, Chelsea.
