pack or not after dark last night if you didn't hear it this team feels absolutely different

and fully acknowledging that we shouldn't or that we should put the caveat on,

that it's week one, anything could happen, the Lions could go on to dominate the division and

win the Super Bowl and the Packers could miss the playoffs and whatever. This felt good for a lot of

reasons. But I think most straightforward is that they checked basically every single box.

Some more so than others, some maybe not quite completely at all.

Jordan Love was not perfect, but he was very good.

I think there was a craft overthrow and then a back-to-back near-pick situation that I don't

know what happened. He just short-circuited for two plays that were almost catastrophic and then

we were right back at it. The run game was maybe not what was our wildest dreams.

I think there's something to be said about the lions teeing off trying to stop the run,

and certainly something more to be said about how the run opened up toward the end of the game.

With the extra cherry on top of to seal off the game,

the Green Bay Packers decided to run the ball down the lion's throat and were able to do that at will, including getting all the way down the field

and running it in for a touchdown to seal the game. In the passing game outside of Jordan Love,

I thought the play designs looked great.

The receivers were open.

The receivers were running good routes.
