Before we get to Tim, I think I am so jaded, and I am jaded about politics,

that I'm not fully appreciating this scandal that is unspooling today,

with Senator Bob Menendez, who's the chair of the Foreign Relations Committee,

one of the most powerful committees in all of our government,

and he was taking so much money from the Egyptians,

who we give so much money and weapons to.

I'm looking at the pictures of the 13 gold bars they found in his closet, actual gold bars.

What's a gold bar worth?

$566,000 in cash, stuffed in envelope, envelopes, they need in various stores.

He's the chair of the Foreign Relations Committee.

Forget about it.

Being paid off by a country that we give billions of dollars to,

and weapons and everything like that.

This is a giant scandal.

Wow, wow, wow, it's almost as if an immense federal government

where trillions of dollars flow through DC is a magnet for thieves.

Who would have guessed that?
