Summary

In honor of her retirement from the anchor desk at PBS News Hour, Kelly shares this conversation about where the country is right now and why.

0:38.5	At the end of this month, Judy Woodruff, the one and only, will step away from the news
0:42.9	desk at PBS NewsHour, and I was so lucky to be able to get to DC sit down with her and

0:50.4	In fact, there have only been a few times when my husband wanted to go along with me and
0:54.6	meet my guest.
0:55.9	And with Steve Kerr, which is predictable, and two was Judy Woodruff.
1:00.0	So, off we went, and we set up on the set of NewsHour right in front of the desk where
1:05.0	she has worked for decades.
1:06.9	We talked about her marriage, her son, her earliest jobs, snide and belittling remarks
1:12.2	that had been made to her in her early days, ignoble beginnings, her magnificent friendship
1:17.6	with Gwen Eiffel, and her take on where we are as a country right now.
1:22.9	It was heaven to spend time with her.
1:24.6	She's as charming and delightful as you'd expect her to be.
1:28.3	So, in honor of her retirement from the desk, I wanted to share this episode.
