Hey, I'm Jacob Ryan from the Pope's Long Khan.

And we've got another investigative podcast for you.

It's called Dig.

And in every season, my colleagues from the Kentucky Center for

Investigative Reporting and I will dig deep on one investigation. The first season is

out now and it's a year-long look at rape investigations in Louisville from reporter Eleanor Klebinoff.

What we've learned is that here the police defer to prosecutors on rape cases, and prosecutors

reject the vast majority of cases presented to them.

Due to this unusual relationship, most people accused of rape here will never face

consequences. Most won't be arrested or convicted and the case will be closed anyway.
