Summary

Chaz Dean steps back Behind The Rope. For everyone who has not heard our Part I sit down with Chaz, listen now! We chat about his friends and clients - RHOBH’s Lisa Rinna and Lisa Vanderpump and Nicolette Sheridan. What happened that one time Nicolette walked into his salon while Rinna was in his chair? What about the stories he heard back in the hey day of 90210 when he worked on Shannen Doherty, Tori Spelling and Jennie Garth? Feel free to check that out. Today, Chaz is here to talk more about the 90210 kids, his booming hair care empire, WEN products and, Flipping Out. Chaz chats with us about where and how he first met Jeff Lewis. He discusses how he first hired Jeff to help design his multitude of hair “bungalows” as seen on the hit Bravo show “Flipping Out”. Speaking of "Flipping Out”, Chaz explains how he went from client, to client and friend, to being convinced to star alongside Jeff Lewis in many seasons of “Flipping Out” as Jeff helped design many Salons for Chaz in his hair care empire over the years. Chaz opens up about what filming a reality show for Bravo was really like. Chaz also opens up about some of Jeff’s other employees, Gage Edward and Jenni Pulos. Chaz weighs in on the demise of the many year friendship between Jenni and Jeff and predicts whether the two will ever reconcile. Chaz also explains his current working relationship, and friendship with Gage Edward - how and why that came about. Finally, Chaz explains why he and Jeff are no longer speaking - how they got here, his message to Jeff and what he thinks the future holds. Finally, Chaz chats with us about Reality TV and whether he himself would ever want a show based around his life and hair care empire. Tune in now as our chat with Chaz Dean comes to a conclusion. @chazdean @behindvelvetrope @davidyontef BROUGHT TO YOU BY: FREEDOMGROOMING - www.freedomgrooming.com/VELVET (20% Off Now) TALKSPACE - www.talkspace.com ($100 Off Your First Month. say, so, okay, that's that. But what about like the 90210, like, you know, you had Tori and Jenny and Shannon, and, like, we all know that, like, at that point, Shannon had her, you know, they all had issues with Shannon and, like, did you hear any, did you know anything? Like, did you hear stuff back at that time? Yeah. No, it was real. It was. But the iron is, is Shannon's mom worked at, there was a place behind us that was a spot. It was called Vera's Retreat, and her mom worked. She was a receptionist there. So I knew her mom before Shannon even came. I never knew, I never knew Shannon's mom was Shannon's mom until it happened, which is bizarre, because I just knew her as the receptionist up at Vera's retreat, and that, oh, that's your daughter. And it is. I was with her when she was married to, oh, God, what was his name? Ashley Hamilton? Hamilton. What was this? Yeah, Ashley Hamilton. I was with her during that time. But it is. I felt, I felt bad for her. It's weird when she came in, she was a petite little thing, and she had like the body of like a 13 year old. She was really good, but not. With me, I never saw that stuff. And when people had asked me, I never saw that side of her. With me, she was great. She was kind, do what you want. I felt more bad for her. She got a short end of the stick. I don't know all the behind

the scenes. I mean, you hear, I don't know if you're going to get on Alyssa Milano, which harmed as well, but the same thing. You hear what happens behind the scenes. I know Alyssa for how I know Alyssa. I know Shannon for how I know Shannon. And again, I love them all. Until you have done something to me or prove something wrong to me, then it is what it is.

But I do.

And sending light and love and blessing her, because she is dealing with battling cancer right now.

2:57.7

Yeah.

2:58.3

I hope and pray everything goes smoothly for her.

3:00.9

And I think they've mended a lot of that.

3:03.2

It's a lot of it is, you know, you're young and you don't know how to handle that.

3:06.6

They're not taught how to handle that stuff. So again, a lot of it is that. But I, yeah, I respect, I don't have, I'm trying to think if I don't have any, I'm thinking if I have any that I'm like, cut off, gone, done, whatnot. As we go through it, maybe I will. We'll see what happens.

3:24.7

But that's good that you don't really, that no one, I mean, you don't get cut off, basically. No. No, the other one that used to be our client backup then was Janice Dickinson. And she was exactly what you think. And I feel bad for, I just, I hope for sobriety for her. And she knows I love her and it does go up and down,
