Do you ever think your life might just be better if you had more followers?

Or more fame or more people knew you and you had these very public accolades. Do you ever think that? I think a lot of

people do, especially if they have public businesses, if they're looking to expand, maybe to,

if we're frankly feeding a need inside of us that wants attention and love from other people,

including strangers. It's funny, I've been listening

to the Taylor Swift album, and one of her songs on there is called Wish List. And what she's

singing about is how, you know, everyone wants an Oscar and they want to make the top team.

And they want all this, you know, these amazing spring breaks and yachts and jets.

And the song is, you know, it's actually a very sweet romantic song.

She's singing, I just want you to Travis, presumably, her fiance.

And there's even a line in that song wish list where she says, we tell the world to leave us

alone. And they do. So that's what

she wants. She wants a quiet life with her man. Perhaps what, one of the most famous women,

if not the most famous, right now? I have a fable for you today on this topic. It is a good one.

It is called the fir tree and the bramble.

A fir tree said boastingly to the bramble, you are useful for nothing at all, while I'm everywhere used for roofs and houses.

The bramble answered, you poor creature, if you would only call to mind the axes

and sores which were about to hoe you down, you would have reason to wish that you had grown up a

bramble, not a fir tree. Moral. Better poverty without care than riches with. Think about that.

Maybe people who aren't known want fame. People who are famous want privacy. It's so interesting.

But fame is part of our culture. I mean, if you live in the West and you
