| 0:11.0 | Welcome to Frequent Miler's Coffee Break, where we focus on a single topic related to miles and points. |
| 0:16.3 | And each coffee break is limited to 20 minutes or less for your money back. |
| 0:22.3 | On today's coffee break with frequent miler, Chase points boosts explained and evaluated. |
| 0:29.6 | We're going to talk all about the Chase points boost today. |
| 0:32.0 | In the past, it was very simple. |
| 0:34.0 | Chase had a pretty simple system, depending on which card you had. You got either 1.25 cents per |
| 0:39.9 | point or 1.5 cents per point when booking travel through Chase travel. However, that's changed, |
| 0:46.8 | and it's no longer so simple. Now the base rate is going to be one cent per point standard, |

| 1:24.2 | But the bottom line to know is that if you had either a Sapphire preferred or a Sapphire |
| 1:29.0 | Reserve or an ink business preferred before June 23rd, you're going to have a base level of your |
| 1:35.4 | old rate of 1.25 or 1.5 cents per point and your existing points for a while. And you'll also |
| 1:43.1 | see the points boost that we're going to talk about. But if you're |
| 1:45.6 | a new card holder, if you've opened one of those cards since June 23rd, then all you're going to see |
| 1:50.9 | are either one cent per point or points boosts. So we're going to talk more about what those are, |
