How surprised were you that the Wizards got the worst possible bounce of the ping pong balls?

And I don't even know how they put those weird permutations of numbers and series of numbers together to get the picks.

But they fall from having a 52% chance to land in the top four all the way down

to six. Were you surprised at all when you heard that news?

Of course. I mean, factually speaking, it was the worst scenario they could have, right?

They couldn't fall any lower than six. And I don't know what was more surprising that

or the Dallas Mavericks getting the number one pick,

but it's kind of a crazy event to go to the draft lottery because there's like a ton of people there in this huge room,

but there's no fans, like everyone's there for work.

It's like agents, executives, and media.

So no one like really reacts that loudly.

It's not like the NFL draft when like the Jets make a pick and everyone booze. So we're sitting there and everyone

is kind of like reacting in silence. Meanwhile, very randomly, I'm sitting next to PST

commenter who's watching the Caps game on his phone. Like that was surreal. So I was with some Wizards reporters, and we're kind of processing the news that,

you know, the Wizards got the sixth pick.
