The Survivor is a show that brings you the very best guests in all of true crime on trending criminal cases.

And this is one that has been trending for the better part of 11 years. We were talking about

the murder of Dan Markell, the rising FSU law professor. He grew up in Toronto. He was born in

Montreal, went to Harvard undergrad, went to

Harvard Law School. You may have heard of them. And corporate attorneys, corporate law wanted him,

wanted to pay him big bucks. He said, no, I'm going to teach. And so that's what he did at FSU. And he was a rising

legal scholar. When back on July 18th of 2014 he pulls into his

driveway he dropped his kids off at daycare he went to the gym he was getting ready to get his

day started and two gunshots blast are fired into his head.

The neighbor, Mr. Geiger comes over from next door, an elderly neighbor, obviously sees Dan Markell in distress, happens to catch a glimpse of a car.

He's really the unsung hero of this entire case.

We should have his photo on there as well.

But this is kind of the web of the Adelson's and the hitmen who some are convicted of

killing. As a matter of fact, all of them on here, except for Wendy and Donna. Donna could certainly

be next. They are part of the web of horrors that ended Dan Markell's life way too prematurely.

So the reason we are coming to you live right now, and I'm going to explain what is happening in just a moment is Charlie Adelson's appellate attorney, Michael Ufferman, one of the best appell attorneys,

if not the best, in the state of Florida.

He filed a 91-page appeal.
