Thank you. It isn't often in the big interview series that I say I think you're going to be

genuinely surprised by this guest.

There's a theme running through all our chats that people I admire,

people who've had splendid lives in football,

people who adopt or promote a particular way of playing, people

who have got a sense of humour. I only want people in this series that you'll enjoy but that's based on whether I

admire how they've handled their career or not. Charlie Adams stood out

as somebody who in my opinion has always played the game in a way that is entertaining, is smart, but he's

somebody who's got a regard for the ball possession, what it's for.

Now beyond that, clearly I wanted to find out if he was, if he shared a sense of humor, if he could tell the anecdotes from his career well.

And what we got back in London just a couple of days ago was something pretty extraordinary.

In that he excelled in talking about his skills, excelled in talking about his life and did it with a voraciousness with a

sense of fun that and with a sense of detail clinical forensic detail that was

it makes my job extremely easy I was able to get out of the
