devoted the entire episode to that had we, you know, recorded it right when that happened.

But it was such an important ruling that we both felt that we needed to add a little update to this podcast because we're not sure when the next one is going to come out.

But it's fucking great news.

It's really rare in this country to actually get a Supreme Court ruling where so many people feel invigorated, empowered, accepted.

It's extremely unusual for this day and age with the level of cynicism than anybody who's a,

you know, even semi-woken up is operating at.

So, yeah, definitely an amazing time.

You know, a lot of people rightfully describe the Obama presidency as sort of a tokenistic,

you know, this is our first black president, it's a huge milestone, and while symbolically it was,

it didn't really usher in the change or, you know, the differences that we would expect. The symbolism sort of trumped the reality of that situation.

But in this situation, the ruling, I mean, while it is symbolic, you know, the idea of marriage being the state-sacioned union between two people is a symbolic sort of state construct.

It means a significant amount to most the people living in this country.
