that deepen your understanding of God's word, and that heightens your awareness of

his variable presence in your life. Well, my guest today asks a thought-provoking question.

It says, if Jesus' earliest followers, those who saw a dead man live, turned the world upside down

by the power of his spirit, why can't we? Why aren't we? What has changed? I cannot wait to have this

conversation. God has just been speaking to me so powerfully through his word these days,

taking his word seriously, looking at really his complaints against Israelites as to why they

were exiled to Babylon. They stopped listening to him. They stopped feeling sorry for their sins. They stopped seeking his guidance and everything that they were exiled to Babylon. You know, they stopped listening to him.

They stopped feeling sorry for their sins.

They stopped seeking his guidance and everything that they did.

They had other idols in their tent, and they stopped revering him as the one true God.

There's so much more to it than that.

But it seems like we find ourselves in a modern-day Babylon, and we in part have gotten ourselves here.

We haven't taken God seriously. I can't wait to have today's conversation. Charles Martin is just one of my favorites.
