| 0:05.0 | Nor could he move around in the pocket and kind of make those, you know, real subtle timeout. |
| 0:13.0 | Haven't we been over this before? |
| 0:16.0 | Subtle, did I say subtile? |
| 0:17.0 | You said subtile. You said subtile. |
| 0:20.0 | I thought I did. Yeah, nothing subtil about your |
| 0:23.3 | man of the English language. That's for sure. Simsisms. |
| 0:29.3 | Oh, that was the first Simsism in a while, but it's an oldie, but a goodie. Subtel. Good morning, everyone. It's Pro Football Talk Live. Subt. What an idiot I am. Geez, do I just fit all the stereotypes, Florio? I mean, you know, blonde football player who can't speak. I mean, holy cow. But, you know, here's the thing. You haven't changed it all in the last three years. You've been doing TV every weekday. There has been some, some, but you've hit a plateau. But it's good. It's entertaining. People like it. It's far more entertaining than me being green. I'll tell you that. I don't know. I don't know. I am proud to announce that today I am not green. I have recovered from whatever illness that I was suffering from yesterday. And God, the text and the emails. Thank you, people. I'm aware I was green yesterday. I am not green today. I don't think I'm going to get the same text and emails today saying you're not green today. I doubt it. I doubt it. But it was starting to hit my phone. It was actually driving me crazy yesterday because during the re-air, when I got friends and family, you know, my mom's texting me at like 9.30 Eastern time. Oh, Florios, he doesn't look right today. What's wrong with him? So I got all of that too. |
| 1:46.2 | I can't imagine. I'm sure it drove you crazy. Hello to everyone watching on Peacock, Series XM21, NBCSN, the rear at 9 Eastern, Sky Sports, 7 o'clock, UK, Ireland time. |
| 1:57.5 | And also because they get upset if I don't mention them, everyone who takes in the program as its podcast every weekday after the show ends. |
| 2:07.1 | Last night, up a little later than usual to see the ending of the Monday night football game. |
| 2:12.3 | We got overtime, which is good. It was a fun game. I wanted it to continue. I was happy that we got some overtime. And the Saints, really, three and two, and they just feel like a far cry, Chris, from the dominant elite franchise. We saw 2017, 2018, 2019, seasons that all ended in heartbreaking losses in the postseason. And it's impressive how they've kept coming back. It just feels like this year they've had a hard time getting that lawnmower started. We saw it again last night and they fell behind by 17 and somehow they worked their way back into it and pulled off the victory. Yeah, no. I mean, there's positives, right? They scrapped. They clawed. They hung in there. They found a way to win the football game. You're right. But it's not like the dominant Saints team that we feel like we've seen the last few years to where we just go clear cut. I don't care how they looked last night. We know they're one of the best teams in the NFC. And right now the Saints, I don't know what to think of them. You know, I think there is some positive, certainly. I mean, there's no doubt about that. But there's just, I think, more issues right now than like glowing great things to talk about. Hey, it's awesome. Emmanuel Sanders, another week, him getting really involved in the offense. I mean, Drew Bze made some throws down the field, so there was there to wet your appetite. |
| 3:28.7 | But there still was moments of Drew Breeze where you went, eh, that doesn't look great. |
| 3:33.3 | And the same for the offense in general. |
| 3:35.5 | And then the defense, as we saw, lets up too many big plays. |
| 3:38.9 | So they're a work in progress. |
| 3:42.1 | And, you know, the big thing I keep thinking or just looking at because you see, yeah, they have a problem making big plays, |
| 3:47.7 | explosive plays. It's so much work all the time. And that's quite honestly where they miss |
| 3:52.2 | the best player on their team. That's where, you know, he's a difference maker with the fact |
| 3:57.3 | that Michael Thomas can catch a |
| 3:58.6 | ball six yards over the middle and it becomes a 12-yard gain. And then he catches a five-yard |
| 4:02.3 | pass and it becomes a 14-yard gain. And all of those little yards and plays he does and the |
