We wonder why people do outlandish things or

married people on a whim or do all these other things.

It's usually because there's a pain running in the background

that has never been addressed and it comes out in secondary emotion.

The reason why somebody else is stingy?

Because there was a pain of poverty.

And now you don't address it because I got money.

And then God asked you for 10% because you didn't even qualify for anything that you've ever got.

And you said, 10%, do you know what I can do with 10%?

And God said, do you know what I can do with your life?

Come on, come on.

But the reason that greed and stinginess and all of those things come because

usually there's a pain that has not been addressed in our life.

And if a pain is running in the background, it will drain you from what you are called to do.

From your greatest potential.

But the thing that we can take comfort in is that we had a Heavenly Father

who knew what we would deal with.

And so he sent his son Jesus and it tells us in Hebrews 2.18.
