People thought soccer was a foreign game. We had commercials in the middle of our games that invariably would come back when a goal was

scored.

You know, so it's crazy to think about where we were even 20, 30 years ago.

That was our guest, MLS legend, Jeff Agus, and this is founding football.

In April of 1996, I should have been finishing my final high school baseball season.

But that winter during gym class, playing volleyball, I fell on my shoulder and dislocated it severely.

That was the moment I learned I had extremely high pain tolerance.

It was an injury that by all accounts should have left me screaming in agony.

But instead, I just felt very, very uncomfortable.

My arm was pinned against my side, completely immobile.

I walked my way to the nurse's office, listened to her tell me it was probably just a bad

muscle pull, then waited for my mom to pick me up so we could head to the doctor for another

opinion.
