Psalm 147.3

Dearest Lord, the depth of your wisdom cannot be fathomed.

You know the number of stars in the sky and the number of hairs on my head.

Yet you bend your ear to those who suffer from a broken heart. When the pain is so deep,

words cannot convey the comfort necessary at that moment. It's only your divine touch that can

bring comfort in the darkest of ours. That is when I need you most. Father, pour out your

healing oil over the fissure in my heart. The gaping wound of loss is wide and deep

and continues to bleed. Waves of grief wash over me with uncontrollable tears. Mend my heart,

Lord, with your love, and comfort me with your warm embrace.

To help me feel your presence, so I know I'm not alone in my time of grief.

My pain feels almost inconsolable, but only you can contain my grief and bring me comfort.

Teach me to lay my head on the warmth of your chest and feel the heartbeat of love, soothing my pain.

I will cling to you in my time of loss and ask you to fill the void that only you can fill.
