Goblet of Fire, Chapter 35, Veritaserum. Or as I like to call it, the life and

lies of Barty Crouch Jr. Yeah, pretty much. That is definitely this chapter. This is just one of

the best reveal chapters like ever. It really is. Yeah. I mean, this is, it's funny too because the,

the chapter art that we've got here is of course, Matt I Moody's trunk with its seven locks. And there, there are in fact seven locks in the drawing and seven keys on the key ring, which I was like, good, good, good, good, good attention to a detail. Don't, don't miss that. But I think what's really interesting about this

story and the way that, like, maybe why I love Gobblow the Fire and how it works so well,

is, like, the way that a key works. Like, you know, it's, it's like so much of the story

has got, like, these ridges that are, like, custom fit to fit to like slide themselves into a lock and like

all of the pins align just where they need to align for it to have all worked the whole time.

Right.

And now it's sort of like what you have to do is like put it all together in turn. Click. Uh, and, and when you do, it all works. You're sort of like, oh my gosh, we're here. Like, we know, we know how it happened. We know why it happened. Like what the mystery was. Who was the person who put Harry's name in the goblet of fire? Why did they do it? Like, how were they able to pull it off?

Yeah. Um, so anyway, I think this is a fun chapter. Uh, it's, it's, it's cool to, to see it unravel. And I think it's good, you know, we, we've talked a little bit about it in the past, like story architecture. Because you really have like, uh, like two key phases to this chapter. There's the initial sort of like conversation that,

that, uh, Moody or Barty Crouch Jr. is going to have with Harry, which is sort of like

the monologue piece. Yeah. And then there's the Veritas serum half of it, which is like, where he's like,

uh, like he's not monologuing, but it's like he's still

revealing. He's monotoning. He's monotoning. Yeah. Yeah. So you're, that's a great, it's a great way to describe it. Yeah. So it all, it all sort of comes together there. Uh, so yeah, I don't know. I, I like the chapter art. It's, it feels whimsical. It feels wizardy. It seems like the kind of, um, trunk that meant I literally wrote magical and

Very solid. And it's a great payoff even on the Veritasyram where Snape like brought it up earlier in the book as a threat to Harry and now you actually get to see it in action. Yes. Yes, absolutely. There. Um, you just kind of get to like, like Barty Crouch Jr. like now that now that the plan seems over, he really starts like dropping his guard a lot, even when he's talking to Harry and stuff too. Oh, yeah. Well, uh, we'll just, we'll just start diving on in, I guess. Yeah. Well, I was going to say, I had like one last tiny little comparison to make,

because I do think you're right.
