0:35.8	the noted writer, revolutionary, and semi-functional alcoholic Brendan Been.
0:41.3	But before we get to that, so many of you have Facebooked, tweeted, tumbled,
0:45.8	Instagrammed, and to a lesser extent, pintarrested, not just about how much you enjoy the
0:50.7	podcast, but about how excited you are at the prospect of new work
0:54.3	from yours truly. After all, it's been more than a half century since I last published and
0:59.5	I've obviously got time on my hands. P Pun, most deliciously intended.
1:05.0	But much as I hate to disappoint you all,
1:07.0	I'm afraid I shan't be putting pen to paper again any time soon.
1:11.0	Setting aside the ludicrous and frankly offensive notion that my existing body of work is
1:16.1	somehow lacking, I have seen the future of the written word, and it is so far from bright that in
1:22.0	no way need one even consider the wearing of shades.
1:26.9	That's right dear listener.
1:28.1	In the none too distant future, all books, magazines and newspapers will vanish from the earth thanks to bold legislation from the
1:35.1	newly formed Global Congress. Even pamphlets and leaflets are banned outright.
1:40.1	Once it is at long last determined which is which.
1:43.0	In what can only be described as a truly bananas overreaction
1:47.0	to the upward trend of the planet's temperature,
1:49.5	the processing of trees into paper is outlawed,
1:52.2	and anyone caught in possession of printed words on paper gets a one-way ticket into the pulping machine
