Changing things for the new year may require us to be uncomfortable and come out of our emotional safe zones.

What is an emotional safe zone?

That's where you keep to yourself, close yourself up,

and not allow anybody else in for fear of being hurt. You got to come. Look, somebody said,

you got to come out of there. Remember that old song, the Saints you sing, come out of that corner.

You can't hide.

Come out of that corner.

Somebody would just jump up.

Come out of that corner.

So when you come in a fellowship, there's no need to coming.

There's no need to sneaking in the church.

And I mean, before the benediction is over, ah, you in the car.

Man, you're in the car.

Because the last church I was at, man, one's none but mess.

What's none but I'm talking, when I come this, I'm sneaking and I'm creeping. I'm bobbing and weaving.

Those are emotional safe zones. And we do that with people in our lives. We do that with

relatives and friends and stuff. We just hold ourselves back for fear of being hurt.

Psalms 19 and 1.45 says, I cried with my whole heart.

Hear me, O Lord.

I will keep thy statues.
