Brian, let's talk about the changes that we want to see on the Notre Dame offense here in the Irish Breakdown podcast, brought you by our friends over at Fanduil.

And I said at the start of the previous segment, it's interesting that we talk about an offense who set program records last year in yards per play and points per game.

They return a quarterback that shattered the program record for pass rating.

Yet there's things that we can still look at to say if they change these things and make

some of these adjustments, this unit can elevate to another level.

That gives you guys a window in of how good this unit can truly be.

Now, we've kind of split the changes we want to see into two different

buckets. There's personnel changes and there's schematic changes. And personnel changes doesn't

mean bench this guy and start this guy. That's the change that I want to see. That's not the type of

stuff that we're talking about. We're talking deeper rotations. But we're going to talk about the changes

we want to see on offense and why we'd like to see them? Because we do believe that there's another level that this offense can achieve, which is really exciting considering what they've already done up to this point under Mike Denbrock. These are tweaks because, again, you're talking about a team that was the number two scoring offense in the country last year, a team that was number two in yards per play last year,

a team that, I mean, look, did the offense do enough to beat Miami? No.

The offense did, however, go out there and score 34 points against Texas A&M at home

and put up 429 yards of offense up and 6.0 yards per play,

not in elite.

Oh, my gosh.

What a brilliant performance.

But, like, dude, you beat them by 10 the year before with 23 points, right?

You lost that game because your defense primarily.

I mean, your offense goes right down the field and scores a touchdown to put you up 40 to 34 with a couple minutes left.

You know, the offense did better.

And even the 24 points against Miami is better than what some other teams,
