podcast. Mike is both a White Sox and a Cardinals fan. We'll have a million catchers from both of those

organizations to talk about later basically just everything but the Cubs right yeah yeah

I love all baseball yeah I mean I only live five miles away from Wrigley but I just

never gotten down to viving with the Cubs so from from Central Illinois. And when I moved up to Chicago from

Central Illinois, the White Sox were the only choice after a lifetime of making sure that I was

cheering for the cards and the Cubs. So couldn't flip, right? Well, I'm glad you're still talking

baseball at this point of the year, despite having those two teams being the two you follow. I guess that's what fantasy baseball is for. But we've got a busy show today. We're going to talk about the changing of the guard at the catcher position. We've got a whole bunch of rising catchers, also some falling catchers to talk about. But as always, want to start with the headlines, which includes

big news that dropped just about two hours ago. Clayton Kershaw has announced his retirement.

He will be done after this season. He'll be making, believe, one more start. Maybe it's a two more

starts, one more home Dodger Stadium start,

and then who knows what we get out of him in the playoffs.

But this is the end of the line for Clayton Kershaw.

No real fantasy implications for this one.

But we got to talk about it because this might be the last time
