the list to you again. See if you notice anything. The Bible says, and Simon, Mark 3,

verse 16, and Simon, he surnamed Peter, and James, the son of Zebedee, and John, the

brother of James, and he surnamed them Boanerjys, which is the sons of thunder, and Andrew and Philip,

and Bartholomew and Matthew, and Thomas, and James, the son of Alpheus and Thaddeus and Simon the Canaanite

Now that's the list. There are several things that jump out to me. For example, if you start

looking at the story behind these names, you discover there's two

sets of fishermen brothers. There are two men that go by the name of James. They're two

Judas's. That's significant. There are two Simons. You'll also notice that Peter is always listed

first, and Judas is always listed last. So we have a definite

leader among them, and then we also have the outlier, the one who was numbered with them, but in

so many respects was not a true follower of Jesus Christ. All along, he was really on the outside
