studio again this week as we jump into part two of a series

Why are you so ambivalent

about Jesus's return?

And what we did in episode one,

if you haven't heard it, you want to go back probably

and listen to these things in sequence but we were just trying to flush

the multitude of ambivalences that you know people who love God deeply and actually yearing for the wonderful future ahead of us still hold within us and the various reasons for it.

And so what we've begun, we've embarked on a multi-part series here to try and honestly, humbly,

candidly address the ambivalences in the human heart regarding the return of Jesus.

And so we are back for episode two today and we just barely got started because we were

we were naming a bunch of things last week and so we're gonna we're actually going to

rewind now and try and move slowly and carefully through these things.

But I was struck by this Blaine this morning, because I was preparing about this,

last night as I was thinking about it. You know 30 years

therapists here in this seat and I'm just remembering one of the basic

psychological truths, one of just the realities of human experiences

that change is first experienced as loss

or perceived as loss, right?

All change is perceived initially to be loss.

It's really worth taking a moment to ponder that because that's really helpful.
